| Dave Eager: C.V. Highlights |
| Whilst qualifying as a Biology teacher Dave joined a band from Wrexham, North Wales "Dave Eager and the Beavers" with Roy Mack. This start in showbusiness led to Dave becoming a disc-jockey and for many years assistant to Sir Jimmy Savile OBE., presenting numerous BBC Radio One Programmes including : The Breakfast Show, Speakeasy, Radio One Clubs. Dave also hosted BBC local radio and The Millennium Tynwald 1979 for Manx Radio - Isle Of Man at which HRH Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth presided. |
| In the seventies Dave compered two nationwide
tours of the "Bay City Rollers" and counted Marc Bolan, Elton John,
John Reid and
David Bowie amongst his friends. Additions August 2003:- Fantastic to see Angie
Bowie looking so vibrant and fab on recent BBC TV programme - February 2005:- Angie popped along to the 51st Annual Tuscon Gem Show. As presenter of Tyne Tees Television "The Geordie Scene" Dave worked with all the leading seventies pop artistes. Strange but true - a record Dave produced in 80's "Electronic Ensemble" with TV Producer - Songwriter Peter Baker called "It Happened Then" www.songnet.co.uk is now apparently regarded as "classic", an electronic first, recently covered by "Plastique de Reve" - Germany. During the 90's Dave produced several popular country music albums including "50 Shades Of Country" - Sheila G White. |

"Carlton Live", and ITV's live "Jonathan Dimbleby - Ask the
Prime Minster". Dave's production credits include coordinator for
"Coxon's Kitchen College"(1999)-

(1997/8), "Stars in Their Eyes" (1991) and "The Gong Show"
(1988). Dave continues to produce music and disc-jockeys regularly at
north west UK Venues. His career as a D.J. began at the New Century Hall and
Belle Vue - Manchester in the late sixties and went on to include Blackpool Central Pier,
Tiffanys, Ritz, BBC Radio Manchester, over fifteen years at Philips Park
Hall and twenty years - ongoing - for The Smith Knight Fay Group. For the past twenty-two
years Dave has been a "Variety and Light Entertainment" Councillor on the governing body of British
Actors' "Equity" Council, (re-elected for 2008 - 2010), and is a
former Vice-President (1992 - 94). |

Highlights during 2006 - 2003 |
| The
Equity Annual Representative Conference held in Belfast, May
21st - May 23rd 2005, gave Dave his first
opportunity to return there since D.Jing at various Northern Ireland
clubs in the early seventies. Dave
returned the to UK from Kerala in late March
in time for the start of the "Living
Heritage" Country Show season. The first was at Thame over the
Easter Bank Holiday followed by Knebworth & Hampshire (Broadlands)
Country Shows May.
A full diary of events, including "The Echo English Open
Chainsaw Championships", saw the Country Show Season
concluding with the Cholmondeley Castle Country Show at the end of
September. The end of 2004 and the beginning of 2005 was filled with the tragedy of the Tsunami, which hit parts of Kerala. Many British residents, including Dave, rallied round to help those directly caught in its aftermath. 2004 December sojourn in Kovalam - Kerala - Southern India where Dave was a delegate at the Kerala International Film Festival. Tatton Park - November was the venue for the Smith Knight Fay Group fabulous "early" Xmas extravaganza. It is now over twenty years that Dave has been compere and deejay at the annual get-together. This year over 1,500 guests sat down to enjoy a four course meal, cabaret with "Legends" and pay tribute to the long serving members of staff who were presented with awards by group chairman Graham Knight. October - September " The Dorset Country Show " - Dave was the compere. Dave visited Lesley and Paul in Spain, (former Casuals drummer), and also compered The Kent Country Show held at Hop Farm, Paddock Wood. Throughout August - Kerala Southern India. In July Dave, a past Vice President, was re-elected to the Equity Council, The British Actors Association, for the 21st year. Thanks to Sir Jimmy Savile OBE., Stanley Baxter and Alan Freeman as proposers and members who voted for Dave. Country show presentations included:- Yorkshire - July, Royal Sandringham - June, Knebworth - May and Thame - April. Media seminars in Latvia- June, Estonia - May with Maria Elkstrand + Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation. April - January India - Kerala and Kovalam. Having assisted with the Qatar Airways Stand at "The Holiday and Travel Show" G-Mex Manchester 2004/3, Dave's schedule included three return trips from India to Europe. Two for Conservative Central Office International Department Westminster Foundation for Democracy to Slovakia and Lithuania (2004). The other trip was for Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation Sweden to Stockholm - Musko April presenting media coaching seminars. Dr. Nigel Ashford, author of "Principles for a Free Society", was also a seminar speaker. 2003 December. A seminar in Sweden for The Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation - thanks to Eva Gustavsson, Maria Elgstrand and their team. September. Dave was invited by Anton of MDS Ltd., to act as commentator at "The Brand New Kent Country Show" held at Hop Farm Country Park, near Royal Tunbridge Wells. Dave met up with his friends Chris Neal and Debbie Davenport from the Hagley Falconry Centre - "Hawkeye Falconry Display Team". Television international award winners, Chris and Debbie presented a crowd stunning awesome falconry display. Dave visited Spain and met up with friends from "The Casuals" as well a veteran keyboard session player Mike Timoney. 2002. For the
19th year Dave was compere +
D.J. at an exciting Xmas event for The Smith Knight Fay
Group - 850 enjoyed a
festive meal and cabaret with Roy Wood....the 7th
December
was a night to
remember for Graham and Julie Knight, the directors and staff. November - October. India beckoned where in Kovalam, Kerala, Dave was invited to give an impromptu speech in the presence of Shri A K Antony: Hon Chief Minister of Kerala - neither were wearing watches - neither a "servant of time" - Update: 25th October 2006 - Shri. A. K. Antony was appointed Hon. Indian Government Minister of Defence - Dave records his congratulations and extends his best wishes to The Minister. Also present were Prof K.V. Thomas: Hon Minister for Tourism and Fisheries and guests attending the "Switch on" illumination along Kovalam Beach promenade. Dave had an opportunity to spend ten weeks in Kerala, southern India, as well as traveling to Miami and the Florida Keys. Because of his longstanding friendship with Harry Goodwin - the original BBC Top Of The Pops - "photographer to the stars", Dave's skills at taking photographs has gained him credits and many happy memories in exotic locations. August - May. In addition to regular gigs, Dave's trips abroad included Serbia (thanks to N.D.I. - Boris and Joanne), Slovakia and Lithuania under the auspices of The Westminster Foundation for Democracy (thanks to Jadranka and Jo), and the Conservative Party's "International Office" (thanks to Philippa Broom and James Marriott), presenting media coaching sessions. Meeting friends in Lithuania, in conjunction with the Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation, was enjoyable especially having breakfast with the former Lithuanian Prime Minister: Andrius Kubilius and renewing friendships with Jurgis Razma and Mantvis.
